Erldunda to Alice Springs - 09 August 2013

Stopped off at the Henbury Meteorite Craters on the way to Alice Springs. Apparently the Henbury meteor broke up into eight 200 liter drum size chunks before plowing up the landscape not too far from Uluru. What can I say - big holes in the ground about covers it. NASA astronauts visited the site to prepare for the moon landings - this may explain the strange shaped monolith just visible over Buz Aldrin's shoulder in one of the official photos :)

Had to call a temporary halt to the Prado Spotto on entering Alice Springs - there are so many of them in town the score sheet was about to melt. We will resume play when we start heading north again in a few days time. LJ 59, HJ 58.
